Presented in a set in a “Wonderland” display of magic and amazement, I was honored to be a guest at the wedding of RicoRacer Flux and Editorial Clarity this afternoon.  What an absolutely amazing display of SL creativity, talent and fantasy this was.  I am most fortunate that SL never ceases to take me to places I’d never even dreamed of – this being a great example.  Best wishes to the happy couple.  Rico & Edi – may SL allow you to long share your joy and love together.

While the world around me grows lush and green, I am making an attempt at a fresh attitude in life.  There are still aspects of life that are difficult to deal with, but we all have that to some extent.  I am determined to appreciate what I actually do have left in life and celebrate the joys, no matter how little they seem, while hoping things can move forward without additional loss.

That goes for my experiences in SL as well as RL.  While not returning to the previous full schedule of activity I once pursued in SL, I am hoping to take time for enjoying myself in a renewed way.

If we were previously on one another’s friend list in SL, but I removed you recently, please accept my apologies.  I was in a very dark place in life and that extended to SL for me.  I am sure my action was not taken in a positive light and I do regret that very much.  As much as I’d like to re-establish those friendships I once treasured, shyness and shame prevent me from trying to do so.  If you’re reading this and are one of those people and would like to start over, please reach out to me.  We could all use as much support and friendship as we can get after all, right?

So, here’s to a fresh start and new beginnings.

While I have enjoyed myself throughout these adventures, I am mostly resigned from these pursuits in SL.  I do hope to continue with the friend position though.  It is this position that is the most meaningful and most precious to me both in RL as well as in SL.

During the course of the past few months I have begun to end most of the “professional/job style” pursuits in SL.  For a brief period, I also edited my privacy settings so my friends would not be able to see me coming and going online.  That has since been restored as I am open to chatting with friends again – even that was difficult for me for a while.  Hopefully, no offense was taken during this period of time as none was meant.  I did not intend to “creep” on anyone to see when they were online while I hid out behind my privacy settings.  I simply was coming in world to check messages, follow up with people when necessary, and visit with my partner for whatever short periods were possible here and there.  For those friends that new me, they were aware that I was going through a difficult period in my RL and that I just needed some time to shut the world out while getting myself back on track.  I have lost one friend who was dear to me during this process.

I am back in Second Life from time to time, though for far less periods of time than I was before.  I do still keep a Google calendar to help organize commitments in my life, however, there are no longer many SL entries on that calendar – mostly just for when “rent” is due or a musical friend is singing or close friends are having a get together.  This, I have learned, has been an extremely good thing for me.  I spend far less time concerned about what I should be doing in SL and far more time enjoying time my RL.  I recall, not so very long ago, when I thought this type of change in me would be  painful and feel like I was withdrawing from life.  It’s been surprising to me, however, to realize how much RL has become far more enjoyable as SL has slipped away.  SL is still something I enjoy using as an escape for a little fun right from the comfort of my home.  It’s just no longer a replacement for what I could be experiencing in RL anymore.

There are things I do miss about it all.

A while dress with purple/blue details running throughout.  To be honest, I’m not sure what the details on it are, but I think it’s little delicate chains with coins hanging off of them.  It’s very delicate and pretty.

It looks as good in the back as it does in the front with a pretty open back that has the detailing across it.

The bodice is finely fit to the body, hugging every curve. The dropped waist is accentuated by fabric roses that are beautiful in their detail. The back is open as it dips low forming a V as it reaches the waist line.
